Looking for our STL files?
You found something you love at Drawn2Play, and you want to print it yourself. We really appreciate the love and support.
We don’t offer downloadable files for the Drawn2Play toys sold on this site, including our Build-It Fidget Kits/Build Your Own Spinner Experience. But if you love what we create, we have two ways you can bring more of that play to your business.
Why don’t we release our Build-It Fidget Spinner files?
Producing a product we stand behind including getting our Build-It Fidget Spinners to work consistently has taken extensive engineering, physical testing and careful tuning of our machines. The fit needs to let you assemble your toy while keeping the pieces securely attached during play. Small differences in production can leave pieces too tight or loose enough to fall out.
A file alone doesn’t reproduce the manufacturing process we’ve developed.
Fit is only part of the work. We also account for materials, durability and the safety requirements that apply to the finished toy. We keep production in-house so we can control that process and check the products we send out.
We know that’s disappointing if you came here hoping to print them yourself. We appreciate that you love the idea enough to ask.
Here’s what you can do instead:
Meet PretendPlayLab 🧪
If you appreciate our design work and ability to take a neat widget and turn it into an entire experience, PretendPlayLab will give you access to a lot of great stuff.
From the creators of Drawn2Play, PretendPlayLab is our creative playground for new hands-on play ideas.
These are the designs we built from the ground up to work in almost any printing environment.
Pretend-play sets, interactive toys, seasonal activities and little details that make kids want to explore. We develop, print and physically test these designs, then share the files so you can bring them to life in your own colors.
If you like the way we think about play, this is where you can explore more of it and discover new designs as we release them.
You’ll find:
- STL files and print-ready 3MF projects.
- Our tested print settings and individual model notes.
- Designs for playful moments at home, in classrooms and in therapy settings.
- Personal-use and commercial membership options.
Printing for your family or classroom? Choose personal-use downloads or a Maker membership.
Printing for your business? An active Seller membership lets you sell physical prints of eligible PretendPlayLab designs under our commercial terms.
PretendPlayLab has its own collection of downloadable designs. Drawn2Play’s Build-It Fidget files remain exclusive to our production.
Digital downloads are available to makers internationally. Commercial sellers are responsible for meeting the product requirements where they sell.
Want the Build Your Own Spinner Experience at your booth, shop or event?
You can offer it without printing every piece yourself.
Some of our hosts already run their own printing businesses. They order their host kits from us because having printers doesn’t mean every product needs to come off their own machines.
An 80-build setup takes 80 bases, hundreds of individual bits, and enough variety and spare inventory to keep people creating.
Then there’s producing everything, checking the fit, sorting the assortment and figuring out how much of each part you actually need when customers start choosing their favorites.
We’ve already done that work.
Our $320 Host Starter Kit includes:
- 80 bases in eight colors.
- An assortment of bits for 80 builds, plus spares.
- Eight paint-can containers and two trays for your setup.
- Laminated signage and an instruction card.
You bring your customers and run the experience. We supply the toys and setup materials.
What could that look like for your business?
At a selling price of $7 per build, all 80 builds represent $560 in sales.
After the $320 starter-kit purchase, that leaves $240 before shipping, staffing, event fees and payment-processing costs. Your containers, trays and signage can be used again when you order refills.
Add a hands-on activity to your existing booth. Give customers something they can choose and build themselves. Keep your printers available for the other products you sell.
Host kits currently ship within the United States.
